About The Studio
Creating music is art. Art is a beautiful, creative process. We bridge the gap between creating and capturing; no headaches involved. Working alongside artists and producers, we focus on all the technology involved in the recording and mixing process; along with providing the equipment and room to capture your creation accurately. This allows you to be more creative and frees you to make music unimpeded by the distraction of knobs, buttons, meters, levers, faders, lights, and switches. This allows you to focus on the performance and art to make a recording that you can be proud of for a long time.
SERVICES
RECORDING
With the top-quality studio gear and selection of microphones we have in-house, we focus on getting the best tones for your recording to make your song sound the best it can. 615 Recording Studio is equipped with a large tracking room capable of hosting 4-5 musicians with a full drum set, a vocal booth, an amp isolation closet, and a control room. We also feature instruments such as our 100+-year-old cabinet grand piano along with a 1947 Wurlitzer tack piano in-house.
MIXING
We take the raw audio tracks you've recorded at any studio and blend them together while going over every syllable of your lyrics along with every note of your music to make the track more pleasing sonically by giving your music a sense of balance, depth, space, and clarity, ready for mastering.
Live Stream Concert
As another way to connect with your fans, we can set up a live in-studio concert that is streamed to your YouTube channel. This allows your fans to see how energetic and captivating your live shows are, without leaving the comfort of their home. This can be used to help promote an upcoming tour/show and the video files (along with the audio) can be used to create things such as an EPK or other promotional material.
Live Show Recording
Using our mobile recording rig, we can record your live show to release an album for your fanbase. We will directly contact the venue and interface with their sound system as well as bring any additional gear not provided by the venue to capture your live performance and turn it into a work of art your fans can enjoy for years to come while getting a taste of what it’s like to hear you live!
DIGITAL-TO-TAPE TRANSFERS
Perfect for the home recordist, this gives you access to the sound of a vintage late 60’s tube tape machine added to your digital recordings without the associated costs of owning a tape machine. This process involves taking your digital files and routing them from the computer into the tape machine input and back into a digital file to send to you. This helps capture the warmth and smoothness of the 5 tubes used on the input of the machine. From there, your files get pressed to fresh analog tape to capture the physical sound the tape adds. Onward, your file is sent back into the computer to be recaptured with its added new sound from the tubes, tape, and the vintage machine itself.
The Engineer
Nice to meet you, I’m Mike! I’ve always loved technology. I’ve also always loved music because realistically, who doesn’t? Combining my two passions, I became an Audio Engineer. A position where I can make great music by obsessing over the technology behind it. I’ve had some incredible opportunities by following these passions and assisting artists and producers with their recording and mixing needs. Some of my strongest accomplishments include things such as:
Charting #3 on iTunes ‘Hot Tracks’ chart. (Recording/Vocal Mixing)
Creating music for multi-platinum and Grammy-nominated artists. (Recording/Mixing)
Nashville Songwriting Association's top 40 songs for three consecutive months. (Recording/Mixing)
